About BDAdvocacy
Who you are dealing with, in facts rather than adjectives.
The chamber
BDAdvocacy is a chamber of advocates based in Kakrail, Dhaka. Barrister Mohammad Rasel founded the chamber in 2009. It now has [n] advocates and [n] support staff. Every advocate here is enrolled with the Bangladesh Bar Council.
We take a limited number of matters at a time. It means the advocate you meet at the first consultation is the one who handles your file, and it is why we sometimes say no to work we could technically take.
How we work
We assess before we advise. We read the papers, check the record where the matter concerns land or a company, and set out the realistic options — including when a claim is not worth running. If you go ahead, the scope and the basis on which fees are calculated are put in writing before anything begins.
How fees work
Fees depend on the nature and complexity of the matter and the forum it goes to. We explain the basis on which fees are calculated at the assessment stage, in writing, before any work begins. We do not publish a fee schedule, because the right figure depends on the matter in front of us.
Editorial standards
The information on this site is written in the chamber and reviewed by an advocate. Statutory references are checked against the current law, and guides carry a review date.
Privacy & confidentiality
What you tell us stays between you and the chamber, from the first phone call, whether or not you go on to instruct us. Please do not send confidential details through the enquiry form until we have confirmed we can act for you and are free of any conflict.
